The John Yancey Oceanfront Inn was an ideal choice for my stay in Kill Devil Hills. The room on the 2nd floor, with a private oceanfront balcony and breathtaking views of the Outer Banks beachfront, made my mornings simply magical. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions like the Wright Brothers National Memorial and the North Carolina Aquarium. the gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and made the check-in process a breeze.
The only drawback during my stay at the John Yancey Oceanfront Inn was the breakfast room. It felt small and crowded every morning, which made it slightly challenging to find a comfortable spot to enjoy breakfast.

The beachfront location was perfect, and the staff was super chill and helpful. Our room had a killer view of the ocean, and the Sunrise Cafe breakfast options were solid. The outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace were great spots to kick back and relax. 🌊 Doors in rooms weren't soundproof, with a bit of noise leaking through from next door, but honestly, not a biggie for us.

The hotel is definitely recommended to others. The property is newly remodelled and fairly clean. Make sure you stay in the standard queen room with air on 69 or lower, a great balcony plus a firm mattress. There is a microwave oven and a refrigerator. The staff are supper friendly and really good, everyone.

The breathtaking oceanfront views from my private balcony on the 2nd floor were absolutely stunning! Watching the sunrise over the Outer Banks beachfront was an unforgettable experience. The clean rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs made for a comfortable stay. Plus, the staff surprised me with a thoughtful welcome package, which was a lovely touch.
I did notice a lack of southern hospitality from the employees, which was a bit disappointing.

Say "I do enjoy a good adventure! On my recent visit, I discovered a historical gem with a replica plane and exquisite gardens. The spacious rooms were perfect for our family, and the food truly stood out. Being pet-friendly was a bonus—I felt like a local with my furry friend by the beach. The new lobby felt welcoming, and the beach access from our terrace was convenient. a beautiful oceanfront escape with modern room upgrades.

This room has a nice view and comes with a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, but it wasn't cleaned if there's a pet inside.
